Better than two-thirds of the people requesting mail ballots for Lyon County’s primary election have already turned in their votes.
County Clerk Tammy Vopat says close to 2,500 residents returned their ballots by Monday’s close of business. Over 3,700 ballots were requested, meaning around 67.5 percent of the requested ballots have already been sent back for processing.
Vopat says 372 people voted at the Lyon County Courthouse. Both sets of votes will be announced as part of the advance vote tally shortly after polls close at 7 pm.
