Lyon County Public Health is reporting 75 active COVID-19 cases in Wednesdays update.
The update includes 6 new COVID-19 cases and 14 recoveries. The total number of cases has increased to 686. The number of recoveries is now at 597. There remain 13 deaths.
Several area counties are reporting increases Wednesday.
Osage County is reporting 1 new case and 2 recoveries. There are 5 active cases in Osage county.
Greenwood County is reporting 1 new case for 20 total cases. There have been 19 recoveries.
Wabaunsee County is reporting 2 new cases for 42 total cases. There are 4 active cases in Wabaunsee county.
Anyone who attended the Wabaunsee County Fair, July 24th- 27th, and/or fair activities should monitor themselves for COVID symptoms. An individual(s) who attended the fair and accompanying activities, including the rodeo, lawn chair concert, parade, and feed, has tested positive.
Chase County is reporting 3 new cases. Two under the age of 10 and one in their 20s. There are now 36 active cases in Chase county.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is reporting 841 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths in Kansas since Monday. The number of confirmed positive and probable positive coronavirus cases has increased to 29,717. The number of deaths has increased to 368.
