Pure luck led Becky Mattas to the KVOE Hide and Seek medallion.
Mattas joined KVOE’s Morning Show on Thursday to detail her discovery. She found the medallion Wednesday in Whittier Park.
Mattas says she was tantalizingly close to finding the medallion last year.
Mattas had a validated hunting license, so she wins the full prize package that includes $600 in cash from KVOE and $4,400 in prizes from several local businesses, including Brown’s Shoe Fit, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, Graves Drugs, Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal, Lyon County Area Transportation, NexTech Wireless, Pizza Ranch, Sweet Granada, Trox Gallery and Gifts and Waters Hardware.
