An Emporia teenager was taken from a crash site near Americus to Emporia for treatment early Friday.
Lyon County Deputy Nathan Rankin says deputies and Emporia/Lyon County EMS were dispatched to the 2400 block of Road F after the crash happened shortly before 2 am. When they arrived, a car was in a creek on the east side of the road.
Deputies have not released any details on how the crash developed.
The driver, 21-year-old Howard Brammell II of Admire, and two passengers — 16-year-old Savannah Ray and 19-year-old Michael Codney, both of Emporia — all suffered minor injuries, but Ray was the only one taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment. All three in the car were wearing seatbelts when the car crashed.
