Emporia Christian School is gearing up for the fall semester.
Administrator Sally Kaiser says the school year will be delayed a week, starting Aug. 27.
Kaiser told KVOE listeners on Monday’s 8:05 am newscast the plan is to have in-class education with plans in place to have remote learning if needed. Students will also learn Google Plus classroom features during the first two weeks of class.
Kaiser says the school is also working with local and state health officials on best practices for social distancing.
Kaiser says the onset of COVID-19 was “disruptive” when it hit around spring break time, and the goal was to make things as smooth as possible to start the fall semester.
