USD 253 Board of Education members have a jam-packed agenda for their regular board meeting Wednesday evening.
Updates on reopening plans will again highlight discussions with updates on the Navigating Change 2020 document, start times for district buildings and an update on enrollment. Board members will also take final action on the 2020-21 fiscal year budget.
The board conducted a comprehensive review of the budget during their Jul. 29 meeting and approved a notice of publication. The total budget comes out to just over $104 million with an estimated mill levy of 53.278, a decrease from the previous year’s mill levy of 53.738.
Board members will also consider approving the adoption of books for Construction of Pathways Courses, the guaranteed maximum price for Walnut Elementary School as part of the Building for the Future improvement project, and new Title IX regulations.
The meeting begins at 7 pm and will be viewable on the district’s website.
