Chase County law enforcement has made some operational changes with a coronavirus outbreak still evident at the jail.
The Sheriff’s Office says the dispatch center has been moved out of the jail. 911 calls are now rerouted to Morris County, which will field the calls and then transfer the information back to Chase County. With that in mind, Chase County residents needing an ambulance, deputy or firefighters should call the Sheriff’s Office at 620-273-6313 ext. 1 to get immediate help.
Chase County authorities have not updated the situation at the jail since it was announced 27 inmates and two staffers had come down with COVID-19 almost two weeks ago.
