Lyon County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 as the investigation continues into Wednesday night’s robbery in north Emporia.
Authorities are looking for two people, a short white woman, possibly weighing around 120 pounds, and a second person with no current description after the Short Stop convenience store in the 1800 block of Merchant was robbed around 10:40 pm Wednesday. The woman had a bandana over her right hand, but authorities have not confirmed if she had a gun, knife or other weapon underneath.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk, both people drove off in an apparently light-colored sedan.
The Crime Stoppers reward is available if it leads to the arrests and convictions of those involved. If you have information, call Emporia Police at 343-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 342-2273. You can also submit tips through www.p3tips.com or the P3Tips mobile app.
