Emporia Police are looking for a woman they say robbed a convenience store Wednesday night as well as somebody else apparently connected to the crime.
Police Capt. Dave DeVries says a masked female reportedly entered the Short Stop convenience store at 1829 Merchant a bit before 10:45 pm and demanded money from the clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the woman fled the store and got into a vehicle that was parked north of the store and driven by another person. They left the area.
The suspect had a bandana over one hand and brandished it at the clerk, but it’s unclear if she actually held a weapon. The suspect is described as a short white female weighing about 120 pounds. There is no description of the getaway driver.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
