We’re awaiting word on potential issues west of Emporia after heavy rainfall for much of the morning.
Chase County spent a good part of Thursday morning in flood warnings after radar estimates of anywhere from two to four inches. Morris County, meanwhile, was in an urban and small stream flood advisory Thursday after upwards of three inches of rain fell. So far, neither county has reported any issues.

8 am Thursday: Flood alerts continue for Chase, Morris counties
Rain is waning, but apparently heavy rainfall returned to parts of the KVOE listening area west of Emporia after a roughly two-week break.
All of Chase County is essentially under a flood warning, with southwest Chase County in a warning until 11 am and northeast Chase County in a warning until 11:15 am. The National Weather Service estimates two to four inches of rainfall since around 3:30 am.
Also, Morris County is in an urban and small stream flood advisory until 9:30 am. The Weather Service says up to three inches of rain has fallen so far Thursday morning.
Confirmed rain totals are currently spotty.
