A UTV accident sent an Olpe man to Newman Regional Health Friday evening.
The accident occurred just after 5:30 pm on North Kansas Highway 99 at mile marker 94. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, 35-year-old Ryan Jacob Gasche was traveling southbound on K99 when the brakes of his 1989 Polaris UTV locked up.
Gasche then skidded to the southbound shoulder, re-entered the roadway and rolled onto the passenger side. Gasche suffered suspected minor injuries and was taken to Newman for observation and possible treatment.
