USD 252 Southern Lyon County is preparing for some new things with the school year beginning Aug. 25.
Coronavirus is dictating a lot of changes, including the widespread use statewide of masks and daily temperature checks. But Superintendent Mike Argabright says other things are coming to the district as well.
Students will also be eating a lot of pre-packaged meals, and the district will follow guidelines from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment on transportation so family members can sit together but others will be distanced.
Argabright says the district prepared its budget to front-load COVID-19 expenses.
