There are two teams at Emporia High that have raised expectations. The boys and girls cross country teams.
The boys return 5 runners from a team that finished 7th at state last year including Senior Treyson True who finished 2nd.
The girls return 5 runners from a team that also finished 7th at state including top finisher Sophomore Elizabeth Wilhite. She finished in 19th place.
Coach Mike Robinson has 32 runners out for cross country.
The Emporia High Cross Country teams are scheduled to open their seasons September 5th at Manhattan.
