Lyon County Public Health is reporting 15 new COVID-19 cases in Fridays update.
There are 6 new recoveries. That increases the number of active cases to 80. The number of total cases increases to 796. The number of deaths remains at 14.
According to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment this weeks positive test rate for Lyon county is at over 12 percent, that is up from 4 percent last week. Two weeks ago it was also over 12 percent.
Three area counties are reporting new cases.
Morris County is reporting 4 new cases. That increases the number of total cases to 17.
Coffey County is reporting 2 new cases and 2 recoveries. That leaves the number of active cases at 6.
Wabaunsee County is reporting 4 new cases and 4 recoveries. That leaves the number of active cases at 8.
Based on the most recent updates:
Osage County has 10 active cases.
Chase County has 15 active cases.
Greenwood County has 1 active case.
966 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths are being reported by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in Fridays update.
The total number of cases is at 36,856. The number of deaths is at 419.
The percent of positive test this week for Kansas has risen to 9.8 percent. That’s up from 8.9 percent last week.
