The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Kansas City Royals 9-3 Monday night.
The Cardinals blew the game open with a 5 run 5th inning.
Jorge Soler tried to keep the Royals in the game with a 3 run home run in the 6th inning.
The Royals and Cardinals play again Tuesday night in St. Louis.
