Lyon County’s active case number decreased Tuesday according to Lyon County Public Health’s daily COVID-19 update.
The active caseload dropped from 92 to 84 with eight new cases and 16 recoveries. The number of deaths remains at 14 with eleven deaths awaiting final cause classification from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Public Health is still monitoring one cluster each for private industry and long-term care and added an active cluster in the bars or restaurants category Monday with five total cases, all of which are active. The private industry cluster has 153 total cases with six active and one death. Long term care has 148 total cases with 27 active and seven deaths. An additional nine cases are awaiting cause of death notice from KDHE.

*Chase County has announced seven new cases with 15 active cases. It also has one death pending death certificate information from KDHE.

*Greenwood County has one active case and 24 total cases.

*Wabaunsee County has nine active.
