The University of Kansas has announced that no fans will be allowed to attend KU athletic events during September.
That announcement was made Monday by Chancellor Douglas Girod.
That includes the season opening football game on September 12 against Costal Carolina. Tailgating has also been banned.
Fans will also not be allowed to attend volleyball, soccer and cross country events.
Girod also made it clear that whether KU will allow fans to attend games in October will continue to be evaluated.
