The Kansas City Royals rallied for a 2-1 win over the Cleveland Indians Monday night.
In the 8th inning Maikel Franco drove in the tying run and Bubba Starling singled to drive in the go ahead run.
Royals starting pitcher Brad Keller held Cleveland to 1 run on 3 hits with 4 strikeouts in 6 and 3rd innings.
Scott Barlow was winning pitcher and Greg Holland earned the save.
The Royals and Cleveland play again Tuesday night with Matt Harvey making the start for the Royals. Firsts pitch is set for 7:05p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30p.
The Royals Monday placed right-hander Ian Kennedy on the Injured List because of a left calf strain. The Royals recalled right-hander Chance Adams from their alternate site to replace Kennedy.
They also reinstated Nick Heath from the Injured List and optioned him to the alternate site.
