The Emporia High girls golf team finished in 1st place in the 5 team Emporia Invitational played Tuesday at the Emporia golf course.
The Lady Spartans won by 4 strokes over Winfield. Topeka Seaman finished 3rd, Council Grove 4th and Centre 5th.
Emporia High Coach Rick Eckert said all the players played well.
Individually for Emporia High Avary Eckert took medalist honors finishing with a 37 for the 9 home tournament, winning by 3 strokes.
Olivia Eckert finished in 3rd place with 41, Faith Welborn finished in 6th place with a 46, Nicole Dalton finished in 8th place with a 48.
The Lady Spartans are scheduled to play in an 18 hole tournament hosted by Salina Central Tuesday.
