A motion to withdraw a plea in a 2018 chase is on the Lyon County District Court docket for Thursday.
In July, 30-year-old Chelsea Brooks pleaded no contest to a single count of assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, in this case, a vehicle, related to a chase in December 2018 which began in Emporia and eventually ended around 10 miles south of Burlingame. Brooks then asked to withdraw that plea, citing ineffective legal counsel.
Further discussion and a possible ruling may come Thursday. The hearing is set for 9 am.
