Lyon County Public Health is reporting eight new cases and two new deaths as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
Public Health announced the county’s overall caseload grew to 898 since March, and the active caseload grew from 83 to 87 as the county logged two recovered patients. The recovered patient tally since March is now at 791.
The death toll, meanwhile, went from 17 to 19. There are now 15 deaths pending final classification on cause of death from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

*Private Industry: 2 active clusters, 156 total cases, 8 active cases, 1 death
*Long Term Care: 1 active cluster, 153 total cases, 10 active cases, 12 deaths (Plus 13 pending death certificates from KDHE)
*Colleges and Universities: 1 active cluster, 13 total cases, 12 active cases, 0 deaths
The bars and restaurants cluster is not being listed as this time.
