Better than three weeks after a reported robbery at an Emporia gas station, police officers are still investigating and searching for the suspects.
The Short Stop convenience store in the 1800 block of Merchant was robbed late Aug. 12. Authorities have been looking for two people, a short white woman, possibly weighing around 120 pounds, and a second person with no current description.
The woman had a bandana over her right hand, but authorities have not confirmed if she had a gun, knife or other weapon underneath. After getting an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk, both people drove off in an apparently light-colored sedan.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 if information leads to the arrests and convictions of those involved. If you have information, call Emporia Police at 343-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 342-2273. You can also submit tips through www.p3tips.com or the P3Tips mobile app.
