The High School football season kicks-off Friday night for Emporia High and area High Schools.
Emporia High will be hosting Topeka Hayden.
Senior Ethan Garate is grateful to be playing.
Senior Camden Kirmer says they will need to play together.
Coach Corby Milleson says this will be a big challenge.
Kick-off at Emporia High has been set for 7pm. The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
To attend the game one must have a voucher from one of the players or cheerleaders.

The featured game on Country 101.7 FM has Madison playing at Burlingame.
Madison Coach Alex McMillian says they need to play mistake free football.
Burlingame Coach Jeff Slater says they want to earn some respect.
Kick-off in Burlingame is set for 7pm.

The Topeka school board voted Thursday to suspend the football season for Topeka High, Topeka West and Highland Park for 2 more weeks.
That affects Emporia High they were scheduled to play at Topeka West next Thursday September 10th and host Topeka High on September 18th. They are scheduled to play Highland Park in Topeka on September 25th.
Emporia High has found replacements for those games.
They will play at Atchison on September 11th and
at Wichita Kapaun Mt. Carmel on September 17th, a Thursday.
