Kevin Harvick was the winner of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Sunday night. It was the first play-off race.
Austin Dillon finished in 2nd place and Joey Logano was 3rd.
Clint Bowyer finished in 10th place.
Just two races remains in the Round of 16 before the field is whittled to the Round of 12, with four drivers eliminated from the postseason after the race at Bristol Motor Speedway on September 19.
Bowyer is in 13th place in the play-off standings.
The next race will be at Richmond Saturday night.
Clint Bowyer will be without his crew chief for the race at Richmond Raceway Saturday.
Johnny Klausmeier has been suspended one race because Bowyers car had two lug nuts not safe and secure after Sunday night’s Southern 500.
NASCAR inspects lug nuts after each race. If two lug nuts are not safe and secure, the crew chief is suspended one race and fined $20,000.
Its the second time this season that has happended to Klausmeier.
Bowyer is in 13th place in the play-off standings going into the race a Richmond.
