The offensive woes continued for the Kansas City Royals Monday night in a 5-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians. The Royals have now lost 7 in a row. They have averaged less then 3 runs per-game in the 7 losses.
A bright spot was Adalberto Mondesi, he hit a solo home run in the 7th inning for the Royals and also had a stolen base, his 11th this season. That leads the majors. It was also the 100th stolen base of his career.
Cleveland scored 5 runs on 8 hits, all singles.
The Royals and Cleveland play again Tuesday evening. Jakob Junis makes the start for the Royals with first pitch at 5:10p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
