The USD 253 Board of Education will be continuing discussions on COVID-19 related adjustments to the 2020-21 school year Wednesday evening.
An update on the district’s COVID data dashboard will be presented during the board’s regular study meeting. A link to convey positive COVID cases and quarantines within the district is currently available on the district’s website.
The dashboard’s operation comes after the district reported a positive case had been identified in a district staff member Friday afternoon.
In other business, Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations Rob Scheib and district food service director Denise Kater will present a number of updates on the district’s school lunch program. The items presented will include how remote learners order lunches, the importance of filling out free and reduced lunch forms and an update on the USDA’s recent legislation extending free lunches to all students.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 pm inside the Mary Herbert Education Center and can be viewed via the district’s website at USD253.org.
