All things considered, administrators at Flint Hills Technical College are pleased with the start of the fall semester.
That includes the early returns on coronavirus, with three confirmed cases but no active cases at this time. On KVOE’s monthly Tech Talk on Tuesday, Dean of Student Services Lisa Kirmer said the college made a lot of adjustments before the semester began Aug. 17 — some obvious, some not.
College President Dean Hollenbeck says students also appreciate the chance to have face-to-face classes.
Kirmer credited students and staff for being responsible, whether in wearing masks, social distancing or staying home if they feel unwell.
