The Emporia High Volleyball team improved to 5-0 after defeating Topeka Hayden and Topeka High Tuesday night.
The Lady Spartans defeated Hayden, the defending 4A state champions, in 3 sets 25-22, 14-25, 25-18.
Abbie Demler led the offense with 7 kills. Emily Christensen added 6 kills. Grace Xu had 17 assists Maddyn Stewart finished with 13 digs.
The Lady Spartans swept Topeka High 25-16, 25-9.
Rebecca Snyder led the offense with 7 kills. Grace Xu finished with 17 assists. Maddyn Stewart and Gracie Gilpin both had 7 digs.
The Emporia High volleyball team is scheduled to play in the Valley Center tournament Saturday.
