Lyon County commissioners could set the stage for state funding benefiting LCAT as part of their action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners are set to approve a letter of support for an LCAT grant application to the Kansas Department of Transportation near the start of the meeting.
In other business, commissioners will discuss Community Corrections budgets with Director Steve Willis. They will also discuss replacing nearly 40 computers a year ahead of schedule. They will also oversee a presentation from the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police to Deputy Jason Gifford and retired ESU Police and Safety Lt. Rick Moore, now a part-time deputy, for life-saving measures they took during an incident last year.
The meeting starts at 9 am in the County Courthouse.
