Lyon County Public Health reports eight new coronavirus cases and a slight increase in the number of active cases Thursday.
The county now has 959 overall cases and 89 active cases, up one from Wednesday. The number of deaths remains steady at 19 with 16 awaiting death certificate information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
The number of cluster sites dipped from four to three, with one private industry cluster being removed from the current list.
*Private Industry: 1 active cluster, 159 total cases, 7 active cases, 1 death
*Long Term Care: 1 active cluster, 159 total cases, 8 active cases, 12 deaths (Plus 14 pending death certificates from KDHE)
*Colleges and Universities: 1 active cluster, 41 total cases, 30 active cases, 0 deaths
As of 4:30 pm, only one area county had updated its numbers. Osage County added one case to go to 74 overall and nine active cases.
