USD 252 Southern Lyon County Superintendent Mike Argabright says safety measures taken at the start of the fall semester in response to coronavirus are working well.
Besides mask usage and temperature checks, the district added ultraviolet lights as a disinfectant along with air purifying systems to help keep school facilities clear of the virus.
There have been a lot of adjustments due to COVID-19, and Argabright says some minor adjustments continue as needed. Another set of adjustments is in the works for Homecoming. Argabright says the district has decided against bringing in 10-, 25- and 50-year reunion alums for this year’s activities with the goal of having them participate next year. Other plans are still in process.
