The Emporia High girls golf team finished in 1st place at the Newton Invitational Tuesday.
Individually for Emporia High Avary Eckert took medalist honors with a 39, Olivia Eckert finished in 2nd place with a 43. Ella Fessler finished in 7th place with a 51 and Faith Welborn finished in 12th place with a 53. The Lady Spartans finished in front of Derby, Hutchinson and Buhler
The Lady Spartans play in the Shawnee Heights 18 hole Invitational Wednesday.
