Lyon County voters wanting to cast their ballots ahead of the Nov. 3 general election will have an offsite event next month.
The offsite activities are becoming standard operating procedure for the Lyon County Election Office, but this year will be different. Instead of taking place at Flinthills Mall, this will be at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. And instead of being one day, this will go the full week of Oct. 19-24. County Clerk Tammy Vopat says this is all about making life easier for county voters.
Meanwhile, Vopat says there are two changes in polling places. Voters who had used Grace United Methodist Church for precincts 5 and 6 will now use the Lee Beran Recreation Center. Voters who had used Sacred Heart Parish Hall for precincts 3, 4 and 28 will use the main lobby at White Auditorium.
