All 3 School Districts in Lyon county released a joint statement concerning the number of fans who will be allowed to attend athletic events.
Emporia, North Lyon County and Southern Lyon County school districts said
Lyon County’s lifting of the maximum group size from 45 to 2,000 does not supersede Governor Kelly’s Executive Order 20-59 (requirement of masks in schools) or the parameters regarding capacity at various school events referenced in the Navigating Change document.
School districts will continue to base our occupancy decisions on venue size, capacity, and our ability to put proper mitigation strategies in place. Continuing to implement safety protocols and follow occupancy guidelines at events will provide us with the best chance of continuing to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Lyon County’s mass gathering decision has minimal impact on our school occupancy plans.
North Lyon County said they will be increasing the number spectators allowed to attend.
Football will allow 6 people per athelte.
volleyball will allow 4 people per athlete.
Cheer will allow 4 people per athlete.
Band will allow 2 people per musician.
