College Football is returning for 2 MIAA schools. Pittsburg State and Missouri Western have announced that they have scheduled games for this fall.
Pittsburg State will be playing Stephen F. Austin on November 14th.
Pitt State said they would try to play no more then 5 non-conference games with 2 at home.
Missouri Western has announced that they have scheduled a game at Central Arkansas on October 31st.
According to the St. Joseph News-Press MIAA Athletic Directors last week voted 10-2 to move forward with games this fall.
According to information from a Capital Journal reporter on twitter Emporia State and Washburn were the 2 that “were hesitant.”
Conference Presidents voted 5-5 on the proposal, meaning there will be no MIAA conference games played. It is up to individual schools to determine if they will play games.
Emporia State Athletic Director Kent Weiser says Emporia State is not considering playing games this fall.
The MIAA canceled the fall sports season on Augusts 14th. At that time Emporia State football Coach Garin Higgins said they were not interested in playing games just to play games.
