The Emporia High football team out scored Highland Park 30-8 Friday night.
Cam Geitz connected with Camden Kirmer on a 37 yard scoring pass to give the Spartans an 8-0 lead and they never trailed the rest of the night.
Kirmer also returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown and threw a 16 yard touchdown pass to Parker Leeds.
Cale Milleson threw a 25 yard scoring pass to Charles Snyder.
The Spartans improve to 2 and 2 on the season. They are scheduled to host Washburn Rural next Friday night.
