The Kansas City Royals were out scored by the Detroit Tigers 4-3 Saturday night.
The Tigers scored 3 runs in the first inning and the Royals never did catch up.
Adalberto Mondesi hit a solo home run in the first inning and was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and two runs scored for the Royals.
