Strong to severe thunderstorms dumped large on hail parts of the KVOE listening area Sunday morning.
Hail as big as golf balls, or 1.75 inches in diameter, was reported at Allen early in the event. Hail from half dollar size to ping pong ball size, or 1.25 to 1.5 in diameter, was noted near Admire during a storm that developed shortly before 10:30 am. Hal to half dollar size was also reported near Osage City.
A second warning affected central and southern Osage County as well. Hail as big as quarters was reported in Lyndon during that warning.
Damage reports are pending.
