The Kansas City Royals closed out their season with a 3-1 win over the Detroit Tigers Sunday.
Adalberto Mondesi was 3 for 4, hitting a solo home run and doubled to drive in run. Ryan McBroom also hit a home run for the Royals. Brady Singer was the winning pitcher going 7 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts and no walks.
The Royals finished the season with a 26-34 record.
Post season play begins Tuesday with best of 3 wildcard series.
