(BIG12/K-STATE) Kansas State head football coach Chris Klieman has been selected as The Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week by the Bobby Dodd Coach of the year Foundations and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Kansas State was a four-touchdown underdog number 3 ranked Oklahoma but overcame a 21-point second-half deficit to beat the Sooners 38-35 in one of the biggest upsets of the season. Kansas State trailed by 21 points twice, tying for the largest comeback in school history.
Three Kansas State players have been named Big 12 Players of the Week following the Wildcats’ come-from-behind victory at No. 3 Oklahoma.
Skyler Thompson is the Co-Offensive player of the week. Jahron McPherson is the Co-Defensive player of the week. Deuce Vaughn is the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
