With concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic still looming, the 47th annual Mexican Supper at Sacred Heart Catholic School will look a little different this year.
The supper will be drive-through only. It will open at 4:30 p.m. and close at 7 p.m. The meal includes two soft shell tacos, rice, chips, salsa, and your choice of a freshly baked dessert. The dessert choices include apple pie, cherry pie, pecan pie, and chocolate sheet cake. There will also be the option to purchase a can of pop for $1.
Marcie Logsdon with Sacred Heart says the drive-through route will be pretty simple.
Logsdon also says that all net profit will benefit the school. The specific focus of this year is to get new garbage disposal for the school’s kitchen.
Tickets this year are preorder only with only 1500 available for purchase. To purchase your tickets you can either visit the Sacred Heart church office at 27 Cottonwood in Emporia. Or visit the church website at shsemporia.org/mexican-supper.
