President Donald Trump returned to the White House on Monday, three days after a trip to Walter Reed hospital to treat his COVID-19 infection.
Trump walked from Marine One to the White House and took off his mask before saluting and then going inside.
Some is known about the President’s stay at Walter Reed, including the use of the antiviral drug remdesivir, an experimental antibody therapy and the steroid dexamethasone. The President also received supplemental oxygen on at least two occasions over the past several days.
Both Trump and First Lady Melania Trump made separate announcements about their COVID-19 diagnoses late Thursday night. The Trumps’ announcements came after close adviser Hope Hicks came down with COVID-19, and since then other advisers — including Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and former counselor Kellyanne Conway — and several US Senators have contracted coronavirus.
