This Saturday will be Emporia’s first-ever Front Porch Music Fest.
Four different homes have lent their porches to area musicians to perform live music. The homes are located at 1014 Neosho street, 1018 West Street, 1004 Rural street, and 1315 Rural street.
Starting at noon the festivities will start, and each hour on the hour new artists will rotate on each porch until 8 p.m.
Event organizer Joe Foster says that he has had the idea for this event for years, but now more than ever seems like the best time to have it.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, though they are also encouraged to maintain proper social distancing and wear masks. Food trucks will be available on the 1100 block of Neosho for the duration of the day.
