After two staffers at Northern Heights High School came down with coronavirus, two students at North Lyon County Elementary now have the illness.
USD 251 North Lyon County Superintendent Bob Blair made the announcement to parents Thursday morning. Blair says the district has deep cleaned and sanitized the portions of the building used by the students. A close-contact investigation is underway.
Contact tracing continues at Northern Heights as well after the separate announcements this week about the staffers getting sick with COVID-19. Both buildings remain open at this time.
