Another successful KVOE Drive for Food is in the books — and in the Salvation Army food pantry.
Emergency Services Coordinator Kristen Lawrence gave the word shortly after almost 26,000 items were donated, collected and dropped off.
KVOE General Manager Ron Thomas says he was blown away by the community response, especially given how COVID-19 changed the landscape.
Thomas also thanked local businesses, Boy Scout Troops 45 and 157 and a raft of volunteers for their help.
The drive lets families get a full complement of food while supplies last, often into February. Before Thursday, Lawrence says families of four were receiving enough for single residents or couples.
