Organizers of No Coast Film Festival are excited for the return of the popular short film event coming up this weekend.
The three-day virtual festival kicks off at 6 pm Friday evening with a block of short films from around the world. Following the screening, those viewing the festival can participate in a virtual Q&A session with one of the many directors involved in this year’s festival.
As KVOE has reported in recent weeks, this year’s No Coast Festival will be completely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When asked why they chose not to simply cancel the event like many others have this year, the answer was simple to No Coast President Jami Darcy, because the community needs it.
This year’s festival will include 70 short films representing 20 different countries. Darcy says the wide range of representation provides not only an entertaining cinematic experience for viewers but also some insight to other cultures from around the globe.
No Coast Film Festival will run through the entirety of the weekend concluding Sunday afternoon. All films will be streamed through Nocoastfilmfest.com where you can also find more information and a complete schedule for the weekend.
