Kansas Head Football coach Les Miles has COVID-19.
Miles said in a statement that he would begin the isolation process at home and would continue to fulfill his head coach responsibilities remotely.
Kansas said that Miles, 66, was the only coach on the staff who had tested positive.
Kansas is off on Saturday before playing at West Virginia next Saturday. It’s currently unclear if Miles will be able to travel and coach the game.
Athletic director Jeff Long said in the school’s statement that “as long as Coach Miles does not develop symptoms or have a fever” the school anticipated that Miles could coach next week.
