President Donald Trump and challenger Joe Biden will be in front of cameras to discuss the issues facing the country next Thursday. They just won’t be in the same city — or even part of the same event.
Plans for a town hall debate, whether under the original in-person format in Miami or a virtual event as discussed Thursday, were officially canceled by the Commission on Presidential Debates on Friday. President Trump says he will be part of the Miami town hall after Biden had first announced arrangements to be in Philadelphia for a town hall that same night.
Trump’s town hall will be on NBC, while Biden will appear on ABC.
The Presidential debate set for Oct. 22 is still on the calendar.
