7 turnovers proved costly for the Emporia High football team in a 59-3 loss to Topeka Seaman Friday night.
The Spartans turned the ball over 7 times and Seaman would scored 6 touchdowns off those turnovers. Emporia High would score first, a 35 yard field goal by Alex Allemang in the first quarter. Seaman would score on their next possession to take a 7-3 lead after the 1st quarter. Seaman scored 35 points in the 2nd quarter to take a 42-3 lead at halftime. The Vikings would take a 59-3 lead into the 4th quarter.
Emporia High Coach Corby Milleson said if it could go wrong it did go wrong.
The Spartans fall to 2-4 for the season they will play at Junction City next Friday.
