If you haven’t yet registered to vote in the upcoming general election you’re quickly running out of time to do so.
The deadline to register is Tuesday at 5 pm. Voters can register either online or in-person at the Lyon County Election Office.
Voters seeking to register will need either their driver’s license number or the last four digits of their social security number, however, they do not need to bring any other materials with them. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm daily.
Additionally, for those seeking a mail ballot, the deadline to request one is Oct. 27. Advance voting begins Oct. 19 and mail ballots need to be sent in and postmarked before or by Nov. 3 in order to count.
